๐๐ป Hi there! I'm Parichit. I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Computer Science at Indiana University, Bloomington. My works is broadly focussed in the areas of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Data Mining and Bioinformatics. I have developed scalable Clustering algorithms for Big Data, designed novel Data-Centric optimizations and applied ML to solve problems in Life Sciences.
I have worked in ๐บ๐ฒ USA, ๐ถ๐ฆ Qatar and ๐ฎ๐ณ India, as an individual contributor, and collaborated with scientists and engineers, to publish open source software(s).

๐ฅ๏ธI am interested in developing innovative data-centric solutions that make ML algorithms faster while preserving QoS (quality of services), such as algorithmic accuracy. I'm a big believer in open science and have created ML tools that have been downloaded over 30,000 times (still can't believe that number!). My mission? Making AI more trustworthy, accessible, and efficient for everyone!
๐ง๐ปโ๐ As a Ph.D. candidate in the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing and Engineering, I've dedicated myself to not just advancing applied ML, but making these advances practical and accessible through open-source packages like DCEM, which has been downloaded over 30,000 times. My journey so far has allowed me to combine my love for research with my commitment to education โ I've had the privilege of transforming introductory programming courses into dynamic learning environments, reaching over 450 students from diverse academic backgrounds.
Previously, I have interned in the DNA Science Team at, Ancestry Inc. I have also contribute to large open-source projects such as DIPY, as part of Google Summer of Code.
I have also worked at the following places,
Texas A&M University, Doha, Qatar
Indian Institute of Science, Education & Research (IISER), India
Center for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Indiaย
